How to pair a replacement single earbud (any TWS brand)
Why a single bud is a legitimate purchase, and the reset sequence that makes it pair.

Losing one bud is far more common than both failing, so left buds, right buds and charging cases are stocked separately. Replacing the pair when one is missing is waste.
The pairing sequence trips most people up: the new bud must pair to the CASE first, and only then does the pair reconnect to the phone.
What you’ll need
- The replacement bud
- Its matching charging case
- The phone it was paired to
Step by step
- 1
Check left versus right
Left and right are from the wearer's point of view. Colour variants of the same model are not always interchangeable either.
- 2
Charge both buds and the case
Seat both buds and leave everything charging for 30 minutes. A flat bud will not enter pairing mode and looks identical to a faulty one.
- 3
Forget the old device on your phone
Bluetooth settings → forget the earbuds entry. Otherwise the phone keeps trying to reconnect to the bud you no longer own.
- 4
Reset the case
With both buds seated and the lid open, hold the case button for 10–15 seconds until the LED changes colour or flashes. This re-pairs the buds to each other.
- 5
Re-pair to the phone
Close and reopen the lid, then pair from the phone as a new device. Both buds should now appear as one.
Common questions
- Do I need the same colour bud?
- Electrically usually not, but manufacturers sometimes revise internals between colour runs. Match the model code printed on the stem where you can.
- The new bud charges but will not pair. What now?
- Almost always the case reset was not completed. Repeat it with both buds seated and the lid open, holding the button until the LED clearly changes.
